Săptămâna Verde in Jurilovca (the Green Week school programme) gives children a day to connect with nature and local traditions, in the courtyard of Ferma Lipovenesc.
It’s more than a school trip: the children explore the farmyard, play with the farm animals and take part in workshops that spark their curiosity and creativity. Year after year, more and more classes choose Jurilovca for Săptămâna Verde.

Meeting the animals
The children play with and make friends with the farm animals: ducks, hens, geese, alpacas, a Mini Shetland pony, a donkey, a goat, a sheep, cats and dogs. They learn how to look after them and how to understand their behaviour.
Creative workshops
- Clay modelling – figurines, pots and playful shapes, made with their own hands
- Painting with coloured sand – creativity and dexterity
- Sporul casei (“the plenty of the house”) – a game about grains and seeds that develops fine motor skills
- Baked flatbreads (summer only) – the children knead their own flatbread, then eat it
- Mud bricks for little ones (summer only) – they mix earth, straw and water, just like their ancestors
Games & Explore: outdoor play
The farmyard becomes a playground: an egg-and-spoon race in two teams, obstacle races and an egg hunt among the hay bales and the little rustic huts, ideal for preschoolers and primary classes. At the end, the children get small sweet treats.
Mini photo session (optional)
The hosts are professional photographers (see mariansterea.ro). On request, they capture the children with the animals, and each child receives about 5 portraits in digital format.
